New Show!–what-up-in-my-corner-of-canada

Halloween around the corner!

I’m sure we are all surrounded by the aromas of pumpkin spice, the smells of new plastic from the Halloween wigs and the sounds of spooky cackling throughout the stores and malls.  Halloween is less than a week away and there is so much preparation that needs to be done.

I will be hosting a children’s party this Halloween, my 2 nephews will be sleeping over for the first time so in total I will have 7 boys in my house!  Aaahh!  I have a dinner menu in mind complete with baked decorated treats and I also have some games lined up.

I still haven’t decided what I will be dressing up as, but I have a couple ideas I’m working on.

We opened our new radio show, Talk Loud Radio, last night and it really got me in the mood for Halloween.  It was a great show and we had a lot of fun!  Working a show isn’t the easiest with a lot of preparation behind the scenes, glitches when one goes live, etc.  but if you have a great cohost, you can really enjoy being creative and expressive.

Hope you are all enjoying this Fall season so far! 🙂

Updating my gadgets and being productive

The recent Ebola threat has forced me to reschedule my traveling plans to the United States, if you know me, you know that I am completely germaphobic and carry handsanitizers in each purse.  On that note, I’ve decided to work on my Canada travels until this ebola scare is over.

My “twin” @PrincessStepfrd and I have been working diligently for our upcoming show this Friday.  We are so excited and have a lot more great interviews and shenanigans planned.  With all our planned shows comes a requirement to purchase new equipment…well more of an option than a requirement… lol

I purchased the iPad mini with Retina Display, I already have an iPad, but my children have decided to use it for their gaming needs.

I love the size of my new iPad mini it fits perfectly in my purse and is great for keeping me mobile.  I’ve been able to multitask a lot easier and can save my notes directly to it while I write on my laptop.  I’m sure I haven’t used the iPad mini to its true potential, so I will have to put my nerd cap on and figure it out.

I also received my Boostcase sleeve a lot sooner than I thought.  Like most gadgets, things happen, in this situation, my case wouldn’t charge nor recognize my phone.  I emailed the company (Boostcase) and they asked me to send a picture of the charge input.  They reviewed it and were extremely helpful.  I sent my Boostcase in to their repair department as it was still covered under Boostcase’s warranty.  They sent me an email confirming they would send me a new one and it came within a week!  I was not only relieved to finally get my extra lil power gadget back, I really need it!  Being on my phone and getting things accomplished I realized how much I actually use it.

During my last Target visit I found some Boostcase accessories on clearance so of course I got new clothes for my phone…again.. One has a detachable pouch which I use for my cash and coins (left) and the white case (right)…well I just like it 😀

Time to get to work surrounded by my gadgets…I hope you all are having a fabulous day!

Boostcase review:

I’m making progress!

Working from home has a lot of ups and downs, but my one gripe is not having enough time to accomplish major projects uninterrupted.  Between errand running, grocery shopping and dental appointments..sometimes I feel like I hardly have time to breathe.  Now that I have ironed out some major, inevitable, changes; I can move forward with all the fun stuff.

I’ve made some recent purchases that arrived on time to complete some upcoming videos and audios.  There’s a lot of writing and background work going on now, but I will soon be at the point where I need to be so I can share it with all my amazing peeps.

From now until the 2015, will be nothing but progress… and I can’t wait!

Much love to you all!
