I couldn’t wait to update you on my new events and projects I’ve been working on.  As an entrepreneurial spirit, I have dabbling in all kinds of fabulous businesses.  It’s true what they say about business.  You have to find what you love and the rest will fall in place.  My life events have changed me so much, as simple as it may be, positivity breeds positivity and negativity breeds negativity.  After breaking free from negative influences I have received so much love and positivity.  I love my life so much that I can’t wait to share pieces of me and what I love.

I’ve been involved with many organizations and I feel the need to give back to my community who have helped me so much throughout all my trials.

I’ve been making reborn dolls for 7 years since I saw my first reborn doll.  As a huge doll enthusiast I loved how I could turn blank vinyl into a realistic looking doll.  Now, before you freak out, you have to understand.  These are art pieces, 3D art so to speak, just like people would display a porcelain doll or a limited edition Barbie doll.  I researched and practised different techniques and developed my own style as artists do in any medium.  Over the years there have been many people who love them, hate them.. but one thing in common with these opinions is that these dolls are intriguing.

These dolls look and feel like real dolls, most love them and some are fearful of them lol.  I’m proud of my work and the joy and smiles they give to people.  This community isn’t hurting anyone, these dolls are bringing joy to those that love them.  In that same respect, I have seen how much this helps people with Alzheimer’s and Autistic people.  I sent some dolls to a friend and her mother who live in the United States.  Her mother has Alzheimer’s and through FaceTime (gotta love technology) she saw the dolls I was making and her eyes lit up.  Before I sent the doll to her, she had already picked out a name.  When the doll finally arrived, my friend FaceTimed me to show the unboxing.  There are no words to describe how happy her mother was.  I had tears when I saw that kind of joy in her eyes.  Since her doll’s arrival, she changes the doll every day and her family even participates by taking pictures with the doll.  It was then that I saw the positivity of this artwork and how it can touch people and they are quite therapeutic.

These dolls help people with many ailments such as those who cannot have children, PTSD, bipolar, people with physical disabilities, Alzheimer’s and Autism as I stated above.  There’s just something about holding these baby dolls that changes their mindset even distract them from the difficulties of their illnesses.  Recently, they have been noted as an actual therapy for these conditions.  I am now dedicated to spreading the word and showing how positive this art can be for so many.  My hobby has now become my mission to share what they can do and how I can help.

I will be having small events throughout this year leading to a large scaled international event dedicated to Alzheimer’s and Autistic Awareness.  My goal is to hold the event in May 2018.  I have discussed this with many people from many different countries and they are all excited.  Many have asked me to start a funding page because they wanted to show their support.  I was a little hesitant at first, but in reflecting on my goal I felt that if my friends couldn’t attend the event this is how they  wanted to help and support.  To be clear, I will be holding this event using my own income because I am driven and motivated to make this happen.  As per request, I will make a FaceBook page to share the progress as this event unfolds.  This is very exciting and challenging but I love what I do and I love this cause.
